Privacy policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

This policy explains how Pupadour collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit pupadour.com, shop with us, use our scent quiz, subscribe to our emails or contact our team.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you order, create an account, request a subscription change or contact us, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping details, order information and the contents of your message. Payment information is processed through the payment services offered at checkout.

If you use our scent quiz or other optional forms, you may provide preferences, business details or information about your dog. For example, quiz information can include scent preferences, the benefit you are looking for and a dog name you choose to enter. You can use the store without completing the quiz.

If you submit a review, comment or customer photo, we receive the information and content you choose to provide. Content submitted for public display may appear on our website, together with the display information associated with it.

Information collected through the store and connected tools. We and our service providers collect information about how you interact with the website and messages. This can include your device and browser, IP address, referring page, pages and products viewed, cart and checkout activity, orders, quiz interactions and email interactions. Cookies, pixels and similar technologies support this collection.

2. How we use information

  • Process payments, fulfill orders, provide tracking and handle returns or customer service.
  • Manage customer accounts and subscriptions, including requested changes.
  • Recommend scents and make the shopping experience more relevant.
  • Send order and service messages and, where permitted, marketing emails and shopping reminders.
  • Collect and display customer reviews and content submitted for that purpose.
  • Understand website and email performance, improve our products and store, and measure marketing.
  • Help prevent misuse or fraud and meet applicable recordkeeping and legal requirements.

3. Service providers and sharing

We use Shopify to operate the store, checkout and subscriptions. Shopify and checkout payment providers process information needed to provide those services. You can read more in Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy.

We participate in Shopify Network Intelligence. Shopify provides enhanced services that use information about your interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify to support personalization and advertising. Information can be shared with Shopify and service providers in other countries. For information about Shopify's processing and privacy requests relating to these enhanced services, see Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify privacy portal.

We use Klaviyo for customer emails and related segmentation. Our Shopify integration provides customer and shopping activity that supports relevant messages, including product, cart, checkout and order information. See Klaviyo's privacy policy.

We use Google Analytics to understand website use, including interactions with our scent quiz. See Google's privacy policy and Google's information about its use of data from partner sites.

We use Meta's Pixel and Conversions API to measure website and order activity and support advertising. These tools can share shopping activity and identifying details, such as name, email address, phone number or location when available, to match visitors or customers with Meta users. Sharing for advertising purposes can be considered a sale or sharing of personal information under some privacy laws, even when no money changes hands. See Meta's privacy policy.

We also use providers that help with delivery, customer reviews, marketing and support. They receive information relevant to the service they provide. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect rights and prevent misuse.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Some cookies and technologies support necessary store functions, such as maintaining a cart, checkout, account access and preferences. Others support analytics, marketing and advertising. A session cookie generally expires when the browsing session ends; a persistent cookie remains until it expires or is deleted. The duration varies by provider and cookie.

For information about Shopify's cookies, see Shopify's cookie policy. Your browser provides controls for blocking or deleting cookies. Blocking some cookies can affect checkout or other store features. Browser cookie controls do not necessarily stop information sent through server-to-server tools, such as Meta's Conversions API.

5. Your choices and privacy requests

Marketing emails. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email. You can also contact founders@pupadour.com to ask us to stop marketing emails. Necessary order, subscription and customer-service messages may still be sent.

Advertising preferences. You can manage Google ad preferences through My Ad Center and Meta preferences through Meta's advertising settings. These controls apply to the relevant provider and may depend on your account or device. They do not replace a privacy request to Pupadour.

You can access the store’s region-specific data-sharing opt-out controls on our Your privacy choices page.

Privacy requests. Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information, or an objection or opt-out from certain processing, including the sale or sharing of information and targeted advertising. Email founders@pupadour.com with your request. We may need to verify your identity, or the authority of someone acting on your behalf, before responding. Some information may need to be retained or processed to fulfill an order, resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. We will explain any applicable limitation when responding. Where applicable, you may appeal a request decision by replying to us or contact the appropriate privacy authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

6. Retention and processing locations

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including fulfillment, customer service, accounting, dispute resolution and applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion using the contact above. We review requests against the records and processing needed for those purposes.

Our service providers can process information in countries other than the one where you live. Their privacy notices provide more information about their processing practices.

7. Other websites and policy changes

Our website may link to other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices.

We may update this policy as our services and practices change. The date above shows the latest update. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
